CAD Technician

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Type: Full-time | On-site

Department: CAD / Engineering Support

About the Role:

We're hiring aCAD Technician to support engineering and design teams by preparing technical drawings, revising layouts, and ensuring accuracy in construction and manufacturing documentation. This is a great opportunity for entry-level CAD professionals looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced engineering environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Create and update 2D/3D CAD drawings based on design specifications and engineering redlines
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure design accuracy and compliance
  • Maintain drawing databases, file systems, and version control
  • Assist in preparing technical documentation, layouts, and schematics
  • Participate in design reviews and help incorporate feedback into updated drawings
What You Bring:
  • 0-2 years of professional CAD experience (internships/co-ops count!)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD required; experience with Revit, SolidWorks, or similar software is a plus
  • Understanding of basic drafting principles, engineering terminology, and construction or manufacturing workflows
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Associate's degree or certification in CAD, Drafting Technology, or related field preferred
Bonus if You Have:
  • Familiarity with cleanroom, industrial, or mechanical drawings
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications or blueprints
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a technical design team
