Position Overview: As a CAD Technician you will be responsible for preparing fabrication and installation drawings of underground storage systems and other structures to be fabricated using Lane's pipe products. Essential Responsibilities: * Develop standard product drawings for internal and external use * Prepare and coordinate drawing submittals under the direction of the Sales Representative and/or Engineer * Evaluate underground storage system configurations for more cost-effective layout and increased ease of fabrication * Prepare drawings for special projects from concept to fabrication * Review engineering drawings prior to release * Perform accurate take offs from plans/drawings * Assist with quote development * Maintain thorough knowledge of Lane's products, product information, and specifications * Active participant in CAD workload group to workshare across the company * Position reports to Plant Manager * Must be able to interact with multiple entities inside and outside the organization (i.e. Sales Representatives, Engineers, Contractors, and other CAD Technicians Requirements Requirements: * Minimum 2 Years of CAD design and drafting experience * Proficient in AutoCAD * Knowledge of design and engineering principles (i.e. ability to read plan drawings) * Highly detail-oriented * Strong analytical and organizational skills * Associate degree or equivalent * Must be able to pass physical and drug test PI9e76031f2376-29400-40523380
