Position Summary
M-Engineering is seeking a detail-oriented CAD Operator to join our growing team in Westerville, Ohio. This position will support engineers and designers by preparing, modifying, and maintaining accurate engineering drawings and models using AutoCAD and Revit.
The ideal candidate will have strong drafting skills, experience working in an engineering or construction environment, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities
- Create and revise engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Revit
- Develop 2D drawings and 3D models based on engineering specifications
- Maintain drawing standards, accuracy, and project documentation
- Coordinate with engineers, designers, and project teams to incorporate design changes
- Organize and manage project files and drawing databases
- Assist with design updates throughout project phases
- Conduct quality checks to ensure drawings meet company and client requirements
- Support multiple projects while meeting established deadlines
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of CAD drafting/design experience
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
- Strong understanding of drafting principles, engineering drawings, and construction documents
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in Drafting, Design Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field
- Experience supporting mechanical, electrical, structural, industrial, or architectural projects
- Experience working within an engineering consulting firm
- Familiarity with BIM coordination and construction documentation
