Description
- Serve as the primary CAD resource, owning the creation, management, and revision of engineering models, assemblies, and technical drawings.
- Develop and maintain detailed 3D designs and documentation for mechanical products and equipment.
- Support new product development efforts by collaborating with engineering teams on design concepts and improvements.
- Partner closely with manufacturing personnel to resolve production-related design and documentation issues.
- Update engineering prints, bills of materials, and related documentation to ensure accuracy and configuration control.
- Contribute to the design and enhancement of complex mechanical assemblies, components, and systems.
- Balance hands-on support for current production needs while advancing long-term engineering and development projects.
- Drive continuous product and process improvements while growing into a broader design engineering leadership role over time.
Profile
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering
- 5-10 years of mechanical design and CAD experience, with advanced proficiency in SolidWorks and complex assembly modeling.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline preferred.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, documentation control, and configuration management.
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude with experience supporting manufacturing, production, or shop-floor operations.
- Background designing machinery, equipment, industrial products, or similar mechanical systems preferred.
- Self-motivated professional capable of working independently and serving as the primary CAD resource for a team.
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills, with the ability to balance product development initiatives and day-to-day production support.
