Position Title: Engineer, CAD/CAE Engineering
Location: Redmond Washington 98052 (On site 3 Day only)
Duration: 18 Months (Possible Extension/Conversion)/ No C2C

Position Overview
- OnePLM migration activities: New project to implement a new PLM system and the Client's Redmond site.
- Reports directly to HM, day to day interactions will be with an engineer on the team.
- OnePLM support team will be 2 dedicated mechanical engineering resources with upd
- Typical day: This role will spend most days reviewing and cleaning engineering data, resolving CAD/part/BOM discrepancies and collaborating with engineers to ensure data is ready for migration into the new PLM.
- 30: Learn PLM workflows, data standards and cleanup processes. 60: Start independently executing CAD and engineering data cleanup tasks with minimal oversite. 90: Own portions of the cleanup backlog end to end.
Must have:
- Experience using PLM and CAD software systems, preferably Windchill and CREO.
- Ability to modify 2D and 3D models within CAD systems.
- Experience updating metadata within PLM systems.
- Detail oriented and the ability to spot inconsistencies and missing information.
- Ability to work directly with engineering to resolve ambiguous legacy data
Desired
- Previous PTC Windchill administrator or power-user experience
- Experience supporting PLM migrations or data remediation projects.
- Configuration management and part numbering knowledge.
- Medical device or other regulated industry experience.
Project Description
- Supports engineering data quality and PLM readiness by executing CAD data cleanup and alignment activities within CAD and PLM systems. Works with engineers and CAD/PLM leads to update and validate part and assembly metadata, including attributes, naming conventions, and file structures, resolving inconsistencies across CAD files and associated product structures. Modifies and maintains 2D and 3D models as needed to ensure alignment with standards and accurate linkage to parts and BOMs, and supports file type standardization and CAD-PLM integration.
- This is an individual contributor role focused on execution of defined data tasks with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Requires practical experience in CAD environments (e.g., Creo) and familiarity with PLM systems, with the ability to work independently within established guidelines. Success in this role depends on strong attention to detail, ability to follow structured processes, and effective collaboration with engineering teams.
