As the CAD Designer, you'll create and modify parametric 3D CAD models and production drawings across multiple engine platforms using Siemens NX - working from concept through production alongside other analysts, engineers and cross-functional teams.
You'll also manage CAD data and change notifications through PTC Windchill PDMLink, ensuring designs meet applicable product compliance requirements including environmental and safety regulations.
Specific Responsibilities:
Create 3D CAD models and 2D production drawings for engine components using Siemens NX
Design and develop components across multiple engine assembly platforms
Prepare conceptual layouts for new product proposals and modifications to current products
Collaborate with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, suppliers, and quality teams to ensure designs are feasible and production-ready
Manage CAD data, file organization, and change notifications using PTC Windchill PDMLink
Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes including casting, molding, machining, stamping, and assembly
Support electrical design work including wire harness routing and connector layouts
Maintain structured CAD models and file organization per company standards
Requirements:
Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in Mechanical Design or related engineering field
Experience using 3D parametric CAD modeling software (Siemens NX preferred); 3+ years of product design experience preferred
Ability to create and dimension detailed sketches as the foundation for complex 3D parametric models
Basic understanding of engine design and ability to create concepts of engine components
The salary range for this position is $62,350 - $93,550. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
