*About the Opportunity* TEKsystems is seeking motivated and reliable *Telecommunications Technicians* to support a large-scale, fast-paced infrastructure project in Fort Wayne. This is a *hands-on, field-based role* ideal for individuals looking to build or grow a career in *telecommunications, low-voltage, and network infrastructure*.

*Schedule & Work Environment*
* *Schedule:* Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (50 hours/week required)
* *Work Type:* On-site / Field-based
*What You'll Be Doing* As a Telecommunications Technician, you will play a key role in building and maintaining critical infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:
* Installing and routing *low-voltage cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic as applicable)*
* Performing *rack and stack* of network equipment (routers, switches, patch panels)
* Supporting *telecommunications system installations and upgrades*
* Troubleshooting connectivity and performance issues
* Testing and verifying cable installations to industry standards
* Assisting with *device configuration and system setup* (VoIP, PBX, etc.)
* Maintaining clean and organized job sites and documentation
* Following all *safety protocols and best practices*

* Strong interest in *telecommunications, low-voltage, or IT infrastructure*
* Basic knowledge of *cabling, networking equipment, or electronics*
* Ability to use hand tools and work in a physical, hands-on environment

* Solid work ethic and attention to detail
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
*Preferred Qualifications*
* Previous experience in *telecom, construction, or low-voltage installation*
* Familiarity with:
* Cable installation and termination
* Network hardware (routers, switches)
* VoIP or PBX systems
* Technical certifications (nice to have, not required)
