About this role:
Fuse is seeking a Cable Designer to support development of advanced tactical communications and computing systems for defense applications. This role focuses on cable and harness design, electrical system integration, and documentation development for ruggedized military platforms.
What you'll do:
- Design and develop cable assemblies, wiring harnesses, and interconnect solutions for military systems
- Create detailed wiring diagrams, harness drawings, and interconnect documentation using SolidWorks Electrical and Visio
- Define connector selections, pinouts, wire gauges, shielding, and cable routing requirements
- Develop and maintain cable bills of materials (BOMs), interface control documents (ICDs), and assembly documentation
- Coordinate cable routing and integration activities within complex electro-mechanical enclosures
- Work with manufacturing teams and vendors to support fabrication, assembly, and troubleshooting of cable assemblies
- Participate in system integration, prototype builds, and hardware test events
- Support troubleshooting of cable assemblies and integration issues during system bring-up and testing
- Support engineering design reviews and customer technical reviews
