Role Overview
As a Cabinet Service Technician, you’ll inspect, repair, and maintain installed cabinetry. You’ll diagnose issues, make on-site adjustments, and ensure top-quality fit and finish—all while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform service calls to troubleshoot, adjust, and repair cabinets, drawers, doors, and hardware
- Diagnose issues such as alignment, finish damage, missing parts, or installation errors
- Replace/adjust hardware (hinges, slides, pulls, handles)
- Repair/touch up finishes (wood, laminate, paint, stain) using touch-up crayons, markers, and spray paint
- Communicate with customers, builders, and project managers about service needs and solutions
- Complete assigned service tickets and address other issues noticed on-site
- Document work performed and report recurring issues or product concerns
- Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicle in safe working order
- Follow company safety procedures and best practices
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (carpentry/cabinetry training preferred)
- 1–3 years of experience in cabinet installation, repair, or woodworking
- Strong knowledge of cabinet construction and repair techniques
- Skilled with hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and installation documents
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Physical Requirements
- Lift and move up to 75 lbs
- Work in residential, new construction, and commercial job sites
- Bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
