Position Overview:
  • Seeking Technicians to support a cabinet decommissioning effort within an active data center environment.
  • This project involves physically removing cabinets and equipment, relocating furniture, assisting with cable management activities, and preparing materials for Telecommunication's AVR disposal process.
  • This is a hands-on role requiring individuals who are dependable, energetic, and comfortable performing physical work in an active data center environment.
  • Consultants should be capable of safely handling cabinet removal while being mindful of existing cabling and live infrastructure.
  • Work Environment:
    • Active data center environment.
    • Physical, hands-on work throughout the duration of the project.
    • Work may involve moving equipment, working around cabling, and supporting cleanup efforts.

Responsibilities:
  • Cabinet & Equipment Removal:
    • Unbolt and remove cabinets from designated data center areas.
    • Transport cabinets and equipment to loading dock or staging areas.
    • Prepare equipment for Telecommunication AVR disposal processes.
    • Assist with moving tables, chairs, and other related equipment as needed.
  • Cable Awareness & Infrastructure Support:
    • Work carefully around existing cabling and active infrastructure.
    • Identify and avoid disrupting live cables during removal activities.
    • Assist with under-floor cable cleanup and cable pulling where required.
    • Support basic cable organization and removal efforts.
  • General Site Support:
    • Maintain a clean and organized workspace throughout the project.
    • Follow all onsite safety protocols and site access requirements.
    • Assist the team with additional decommissioning-related tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications:
  • Comfortable using basic hand tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and awareness around cabling / infrastructure.
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work full-time onsite.
  • Positive attitude with strong work ethic and energy level.

Preferred Experience:
  • Experience working with data center cabinets or infrastructure equipment.
  • Familiarity with raised floor environments and under-floor cabling.
  • Previous cabinet decommissioning, cabling, or infrastructure support experience.
  • Exposure to rack-and-stack or structured cabling environments.
  • Should be physically capable of handling equipment movement and cabinet removal tasks.
  • Team-oriented individuals with strong work ethic.

Pay Rate: $30 - $32 / Hour
