The Boeing Company C-17 Training Systems is currently seeking a C-17 Logistics Technician to support the C-17 Training Systems (e.g., Maintenance, Aircrew/Maintenance Training Devices, Courseware, Information Technology, Engineering etc.) located at the Altus AFB, Oklahoma.

C-17 Training Systems has 17 Locations Continuous United States (CONUS) and 1 Location Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) with over 70+ trainers, of which support is provided. This position will be required to provide Logistics support by general logistics functions to include, but not limited to, Shipping and Receiving, Inventory Control, Logistics Analysis, Asset Management, Procurement, Excess Government Equipment Disposal, Obsolescence, Sustainment and Concurrency; Contract Data Requirements (CDRLs); among other duties.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide logistics support to manage, maintain, and support the C-17 Training System (e.g. Training devices, courseware, software, firmware, spares, and their support centers)
  • Maintain inventory storage and control
  • Provide, manage, maintain, dispose and update Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Government Furnished Property (GFP) reporting
  • Manage Logistics Spares Packages
  • Manage asset inventory control and storage
  • Execute quality audits as required
  • Attend virtual and in-person program meetings
  • Attend Engineering Design Reviews and provide guidance and input
  • Distribute and Manage assets on and off site
  • Analyze logistics to include but not limited to; predictability, consumption rates, failure rates, etc.
  • Identify and manage Supply Chain Risk Management issues through Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) practices
  • Acquire all replenishment or replacement assets and asset repairs
  • Disposition and dispose obsolete and condemned assets
  • Manage Obsolescence Management and Reporting
  • Develop and manage logistics data
  • Manage material packaging, handling, storage and transportation
  • Develop and deliver Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs)
  • Communicate, direct and manage requests to and from multiple subcontractors
  • Assist Facility Manager with taking out trash and various tasks such as replacement of light bulbs within 10 feet

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with logistics, supply support, supply chain and/or military supply experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel data analysis to include pivot tables and charts
  • Experience with data analysis, trending, and reporting

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) to track GFE/GFP reporting
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) (e.g., Global Reach Logistics Data (GOLD), Azzier, Maintenance Connect, GO-81)
  • Experience with logistics search tools (e.g., Haystack, FEDLOG, LogiQuest)
  • Experience with reviewing manufacturing (MFG) Drawings
  • Experience with Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams
