Position Title: Buying Clerk Department: Buying Supervisor: Buyer FLS: Non-exempt
Position Summary: Provides support to Corporate Buyers by assisting them with the process of merchandising selection and development, sales analysis, and vendor management.
Essential Functions:
• Receives purchase orders from various buying departments. • Confirms pricing with supplier. • Corrects pricing and/or weights on purchase orders. • Changes delivery date as instructed. • Releases purchase orders. • Faxes purchase orders to suppliers. • Assists with price out of different suppliers and delivery. • Will assist with food safety recalls by completing paperwork such as checklist for recalled items and spreadsheets with required information for supplier and/or regulatory agencies.
Performs other work-related duties as required and assigned.
Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
Effective oral and written communication skills. Commitment to company values and strong customer orientation. Computer Literacy
Work Environment: Average office environment, air-conditioned in the summer. Accessibility to computers, phone, fax, copiers, etc. on premises.
