Position Description

We are seeking a hands-on, process-oriented buyer to support our procurement function during a period of rapid growth. This role will be responsible for processing purchase requisitions, confirming manager approval, soliciting bids, placing orders, confirming receipt and interacting with the accounts payable and inventory management staff. The ideal candidate thrives in high-growth environments, enjoys building structure, and can balance daily transactional execution with process improvement and team leadership.


Key Responsibilities

The Buyer assists with material planning, purchasing, and inventory management, starting with processing purchase requisitions through to receipt.  The Buyer will

  • Seek out vendors and solicit bids
  • Issue Purchase Orders
  • Coordinate with accounting – AP function
  • Expedite, de-expedite, and reschedule materials to support changing priorities
  • Support annual inventory valuation and audit requirements
  • Supplier performance tracking (OTD, quality, responsiveness)
  • Coordination of supplier capacity, constraints, and risk mitigation plans
  • Manage returns, NCRs, and corrective action follow-up with suppliers


Must Have Qualifications:

  • 1-5 years of experience as a professional Buyer
  • Familiarity with approval requirements
  • Experience working outside of an ERP (manual work)
