Buyer - Commercial Division
Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL (Onsite)
Schedule: Full-Time (Monday to Friday)
Compensation: $70,000 to $85,000 + Benefits, 401K, PTO and more.
About the Opportunity
Our client, a leading distributor serving the commercial construction and industrial markets across North America, is looking for a Buyer to join their Commercial Division at their largest and busiest branch in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
This is a high-impact purchasing role where you'll be responsible for keeping inventory moving, supporting a busy sales team, and ensuring products are available when customers need them. This branch operates at a fast pace with a high volume of purchase orders and constant collaboration between sales, warehouse, operations, and purchasing.
The successful candidate will thrive in an environment where priorities can change quickly, multiple requests compete for attention, and teamwork is essential. If you enjoy staying busy, solving problems, and working alongside a close-knit team, this is an outstanding opportunity.
This is a fully onsite position (Monday through Friday) and is an immediate hiring priority.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Buyer will oversee purchasing activities for assigned product categories while ensuring inventory levels are maintained to support customer demand and branch operations.
This role requires someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing a high volume of purchase orders while balancing changing priorities throughout the day. You'll work closely with sales, warehouse, operations, and vendor partners to ensure products are delivered accurately and on time.
Success in this role comes from being adaptable, resilient, and able to perform under pressure without sacrificing accuracy or customer service.
