Job Title - Busser/Runner/Server
Hours & Compensation
Part Time
2 - 4 shifts a week depending on availability and experience
Must be available to work nights, weekend shifts and some holidays
$17 / hour (or at least minimum wage) + tips. Additional compensation with additional responsibilities
Responsibilities and Job Description
Provide warm and friendly customer service
Acknowledge and welcome all guests as they arrive to the venue
Anticipate the needs of guests and provide service and recommendations as needed
Act as an ambassador for the Headlands brand
Demonstrate deep understanding of all food and drink offerings, and be able to discuss with guests, and provide recommendations as needed
Perform daily opening, closing and mid shift procedures accurately and consistently
Restock items (glassware, paper products, food service items, etc) as needed
Run food and drinks, and bus tables and always have full hands in and out
Maintain a clean and organized work station
Assist with special events as needed
Take appropriate breaks as directed by the manager on duty
Help maintain facilities as directed by MOD (restrooms, sweep, empty trash, etc)
Minimum Qualifications
One year of hospitality and or customer service experience
Genuine love for people and hospitality
Age 18+
Work well with others and promote positive team culture
Interest in craft beer, and an eagerness to learn more about it
Reliable transportation for work
Optimistic and outgoing personality
Proactive problem solver
Food handler certification
Preferred Qualifications
Two years experience working in restaurants, cafes or taprooms
Knowledge of craft brewing including beer styles, hop varietals and fermentation
High volume service experience
Experience working with modern point of sale systems, specifically Toast
Strong communication skills, including with email and Slack
Working knowledge of google docs and sheets, and comfort using for reporting and standard operating procedures
Bilingual (English and Spanish)
Physical Requirements
Stand for long periods of time as shifts can be up to 8 hours with breaks
Lift up to 30lbs (food items, beer cases, glass racks, etc) with twisting and turning
Comfortable working in environments with moderate to medium amounts of noise
Comfortable working in hot & cold outdoor temperatures
