Description

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Business Unit Manager Manufacturing to join their team. As a Business Unit Manager Manufacturing, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering with an interest to transition into operational leadership.

Location: Holland, Michigan

Pay Range:$120,000 - $135,000

What's the Job?

  • Ensure that plant operations demonstrate world-class performance by leading strategic initiatives and managing daily activities.
  • Provide technical expertise and management to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce costs, and eliminate waste.
  • Develop, review, and maintain budgets and expenses to ensure financial performance aligns with organizational goals.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to establish and maintain stable production schedules, labor requirements, and material flow.
  • Champion continuous improvement projects, lean manufacturing techniques, and product innovations to enhance operational efficiency.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 3-5 years of successful engineering experience in an automotive manufacturing environments.
  • Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, systems, quality standards, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams while fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Strong communication, project management, and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive results.
