As a Business Systems Architect - EBA, you will play a critical role in shaping enterprise-wide solutions that support key business functions, including finance, accounting, and supply chain operations. Summary

  • Demonstrates advanced expertise in solving highly complex business and technology challenges that influence the strategic direction of the organization.

  • Serves as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor across multiple disciplines, fostering knowledge sharing and collaboration across teams.

  • Provides mentorship and technical leadership to Business Systems Analysts in both functional and technical domains.

  • Acts as a strategic innovator and change leader for Enterprise Business Systems, driving modernization, organizational transformation, and cross-functional integration.

  • Maintains awareness of emerging industry trends, technologies, and best practices to shape future-state vision, strategy, and operational efficiency.

  • Identifies and translates business opportunities into innovative process and technology solutions that align with organizational strategy and enable transformational outcomes.

Configuration and Process

  • Responsible for facilitating change management across our enterprise business systems.

  • Collaborates with Information Services leadership, technical architects, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment between technology strategies, enterprise architecture, and business goals.

  • Partners with IS leadership in serving as a strategic business relationship manager for assigned business areas, fostering strong stakeholder engagement.

  • Demonstrates deep understanding of cross-functional business requirements, with advanced expertise in one or more functional or technical domains.

  • Participate in vendor selection process to ensure the products or solutions fit our business and technical architecture and meet the needs of our stakeholders.

  • Provide leadership to cross-functional teams to design, implement and validate complex solutions ensuring alignment with our strategic direction and business needs.

  • Communicate effectively across all levels within Cincinnati Childrens Hospital.

  • Demonstrate expert process and application knowledge through presentations within user communities, conferences and professional organizations.

  • Influence product development through participation in Customer Advisory Boards and Community User Groups.

  • Ability to build and maintain a strong network with peers across other organizations.

Production Support

  • Provides leadership, guidance, and support to Business Systems Analysts in the resolution of highly complex business and technical issues.

  • Serves as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, effectively translating complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

  • Partners with business owners and organizational leaders to identify, prioritize, and advance high-value strategic initiatives.

  • Ensures appropriate governance and change control processes are followed for the successful implementation of system enhancements and enterprise solutions.

Customer Service

  • Ensure outstanding end-user support is provided, including ongoing monitoring of service level agreements for incident management and collaboration with other areas to ensure customer-centered support.

  • Adhere to and promote continual adoption of change management policies and procedures.

  • Model outstanding customer service behavior, including timely and effective follow-up with customers.

Miscellaneous

  • Identifies and leverages enterprise resources, industry relationships, and peer networks to share expertise, best practices, and specialized knowledge across supported business areas.

  • Promotes collaboration and fosters a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team environment.

  • Provides leadership in guiding, motivating, and encouraging teamwork to achieve shared organizational goals.

  • Mentors and develops Business Systems Analysts by providing professional guidance, technical expertise, and reinforcement of industry and organizational best practices.

  • Monitors team workload, resource allocation, and priorities to ensure alignment with strategic business objectives and operational demands.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • 7+ years of work experience in a related job discipline

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated leadership in Quality Assurance efforts aligned with established methodologies, ensuring delivery of high-quality, scalable, and reliable system solutions.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence, align, and drive outcomes across cross-functional teams.

  • Experience partnering with internal teams and external stakeholders to build relationships and successfully deliver business and technical objectives.

  • Deep understanding of enterprise ecosystems, including upstream and downstream system dependencies, with the ability to design solutions that optimize end-to-end workflows and data flow across the organization.

  • Proven hands-on experience supporting Finance and Accounting functions, including direct involvement with financial systems, workflows, reporting, and integrations related to general ledger, budgeting, and financial operations.

  • Practical experience working within Supply Chain environments, supporting systems and processes such as procurement, inventory management, logistics, and vendor management to enable efficient operations.
