We are seeking a senior-level Business Systems Analyst to lead complex, enterprise-wide initiatives across finance and technology domains. This role requires deep expertise in business analysis, SDLC, and fintech platforms, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality solutions that meet business and regulatory requirements.

 

Location: Buffalo, NY
Duration: 7 months

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex projects from requirements through implementation and post-production support
  • Gather, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements
  • Develop functional specifications, test plans, and test scripts; coordinate and execute testing
  • Act as liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams to ensure alignment
  • Provide project estimates, timelines, and resource planning for large initiatives
  • Serve as subject matter expert for application impacts across enterprise changes (e.g., acquisitions, regulatory updates)
  • Coordinate data mapping and system integration efforts
  • Monitor scope, manage change requests, and ensure adherence to SDLC and regulatory standards
  • Lead or support UAT and serve as Test Coordinator for multi-application projects
  • Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on best practices

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in business systems analysis, systems development, or related field
  • Strong finance domain experience (Fixed Income, Collateral)
  • Hands-on experience with Calypso and/or fintech platforms
  • Deep understanding of SDLC and large-scale system implementations
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Prior experience as a subject matter expert supporting enterprise applications
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience
  • Ability to manage project milestones, timelines, and deliverables effectively
