Business Systems Analyst (BSA) – ECM / FileNet

Contract | Hybrid (2 days/month onsite – Newark, NJ)
Healthcare Payer Industry Experience Required

We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with strong Enterprise Content Management (ECM) experience to support a healthcare payer organization undergoing active digital and content platform modernization. This role will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders, IT, and offshore development teams supporting critical, high-availability applications (Tier 1 systems with zero-downtime expectations).

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between business users, healthcare operations, and ECM/IT development teams
• Gather, document, and translate business requirements into user stories, functional specs, and acceptance criteria (Agile – Jira/Confluence)
• Support ECM solution design, including document management, records management, workflow automation, and content lifecycle processes
• Work closely with developers, QA, architects, and vendors to deliver ECM solutions
• Support data/document migration, metadata design, indexing, and repository management
• Perform gap analysis, impact analysis, and feasibility assessments
• Assist with SIT/UAT testing, validation, and defect resolution
• Support production issues, root cause analysis, and ongoing system improvements
• Ensure compliance with governance, audit, retention, and access control requirements
• Create process flows, documentation, and end-user training materials

Required Experience & Skills

• 5+ years as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role
• Strong hands-on IBM FileNet experience (required) IBM FileNet or comparable ECM platforms
• Healthcare payer or healthcare industry experience (required)
• Experience supporting ECM / document management / archival systems
• Strong Agile experience (Jira, user stories, Confluence)
• Ability to work with offshore and distributed development teams
• Experience with requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management
• Familiarity with APIs and microservices environments
• Basic understanding of log review tools (e.g., Splunk)
• SQL experience is a plus
• Experience with data/repository migration strongly preferred (SharePoint experience a plus)
• Strong communication skills and ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-priority environment
