Job Description
The Missouri School of Journalism is seeking a Business Support Specialist II to provide comprehensive administrative, operational, and fiscal support to the School's 10 Endowed Chairs and Fiscal Officer. This role is ideal for a detailed-oriented, service-driven, and reliable professional who thrives in a fast-paced academic work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the first point of contact for 10 Endowed Chairs:
Curtis B. Hurley Endowed Missouri Chair in Public Affairs Journalism
Donald W. Reynolds Chair in Journalism Strategy and Business Operations
Missouri Community Newspaper Management Chair
Houston Harte Chair in Journalism
Knight Chair in Journalism Innovation
Lee Hills Chair in Free-Press Studies
Leonard H. Goldenson Endowed Chair in Radio and Television Journalism
Meredith Chair in Service Journalism
Maxine Wilson Gregory Chair in Journalism Research
Society for Advancing Business Editing and Writing (SABEW) Chair in Business and Financial Journalism.
Provide clerical, project and task support
Assist with scheduling meetings and appointments
Coordinate and support events and provide onsite facilitation, including campus visitors, engagement events, and student group trips.

This position requires reliable, onsite attendance.
Minimum Qualifications
An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $17.40-$23.85 hourly
Grade: GGS-7
