Overview

Horizon Farm Credit is seeking a Business Solutions Specialist to join our team. One position is available. Qualified candidate may work in any available Horizon Farm Credit branch. Position Description: As a Business Solution Specialist, you serve as the link between business stakeholders and the project management office. You translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and validate that solutions meet objectives. You collaborate with Project Managers to integrate requirements into project plans, support milestone tracking, and maintain communication throughout delivery and testing. You also partner with business owners to build business cases, evaluate solution options, and bridge technical and business teams for successful implementation and support informed decision-making.

Areas of Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Follows the Software Implementation Lifecycle (SIL) to deploy software solutions, which include capability mapping/requirements analysis, system design and configuration, testing, deployment, and training and hyper care support.
  • Leads the technical implementation of association wide projects, serves as TSO.
  • Actively researches and understands emerging technology trends to be able to best suggest potential solutions to meet business needs. This ability helps businesses to think bigger, more efficient, and identify how new technology can transform processes while understanding the risk landscape and risk tolerance level of HFC.
  • Collaborates with project managers and business stakeholders to document capabilities and requirements for technical solutions.
  • Collaborates with TPRM Manager to procure and evaluate new vendors and software to meet capability needs.
  • Ensures software is configured correctly and functions as intended, documents testing plan, technical architecture, system design, data flow, and encourages business stakeholders to innovate while remaining risk compliant.
  • Develops detailed training for end users to ensure effective usage.
  • Identify and resolve issues and bugs that arise during the implementation process.
  • Ensure the software is transitioned after hyper care to Product Analyst for maintenance and ongoing support, provides system expertise as needed during transition
Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Finance, IT, or related field.

Experience

Generally, minimum of three years of experience implementing software solutions, business analysis, or solutions implementation.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in business systems, reporting tools, or enterprise platforms is a plus.
  • Skilled in capability mapping and requirements analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across the organization.
  • Strong organization and multitasking abilities.
  • Expected to consistently exhibit values of ACRES as represented in HFC's Core Values.
  • Adaptable and flexible to a changing work environment.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Regular, predictable, and reliable attendance is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Complies with Association's Standards of Conduct Policy.
  • Ability to travel as required.
