KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for a Business Process Manager - CPQ, CLM & Order-to-Cash Transformation

About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on, systems-savvy Business Process Manager to own and evolve our Quote-to-Cash (QTC) ecosystem.

This is not a coordination or day-to-day operations role. You will be the connective tissue between business stakeholders and the Enterprise Technology team, helping design scalable business processes and serving as an active participant in testing and validation. You will not be responsible for coding, technical architecture, or hands-on integration development.

You'll translate messy, real-world business needs into clear user stories, pain points, functional requirements, acceptance criteria, and process documentation, then stay in the room to make sure what gets built actually works.

You'll have a direct impact on how deals get structured, priced, approved, contracted, and ultimately fulfilled-touching everything from qualified Opportunity and discovery through quoting and close, as well as downstream handoffs with Deal Desk, Provisioning, Order Management, Billing, Renewals, and Amendments.

The organization is migrating from Steelbrick/Salesforce CPQ to a new AI-native, natural-language CPQ platform, with an initial deployment targeted for Q4. Platform-specific experience with the new CPQ is not expected due to how new it is. The successful candidate will instead bring deep CPQ and order-to-cash process knowledge and know what questions to ask when evaluating a highly flexible platform.

What You'll Own
CPQ Process Design and Platform Evolution
  • Serve as a primary business process owner for the CPQ environment and its ongoing evolution.
  • Apply deep CPQ knowledge to define what the platform should support across product rules, pricing rules, bundling logic, quote templates, guided selling, approvals, discounting, renewals, and amendments.
  • Support the migration from Steelbrick/Salesforce CPQ to a new AI-native, natural-language CPQ platform.
  • Partner with Revenue Strategy, Enterprise Technology, Finance, Sales, Channel, Deal Desk, Legal, Provisioning, and Billing stakeholders to continuously refine CPQ and order-to-cash workflows as the business evolves.
  • Proactively identify process gaps, pain points, manual handoffs, and opportunities to create more streamlined, automated, and scalable workflows.
  • Contribute to continued implementation and process improvements following the initial Q4 CPQ deployment.
Requirements Gathering and Translation
  • Lead discovery sessions with business stakeholders, including Sales, Deal Desk, Finance, Legal, Provisioning, and Billing, to surface and define requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear, unambiguous user stories, pain points, functional requirements, acceptance criteria, and process documentation that the Enterprise Technology team can build from.
  • Act as the ongoing bridge between field/business stakeholders and technical teams throughout the delivery lifecycle, iterating requirements, reviewing designs, and identifying misalignment early.
  • Communicate effectively with technical stakeholders without prescribing integration architecture, coding solutions, or specific implementation methods.
Opportunity and Salesforce Process Enhancements
  • Define the business requirements and process strategy for the Opportunity lifecycle in Salesforce, including fields, layouts, validation, workflow automation, data integrity, reporting needs, and downstream dependencies.
  • Scope and prioritize business process enhancements in collaboration with the Salesforce administration and engineering teams.
  • Help maintain a clean, scalable process and data model while leaving technical solutioning, configuration, and development to the Enterprise Technology team.
Approvals, Discounting, Contracting, and Billing
  • Design and continuously improve business processes for non-standard pricing, discounting, deal exceptions, approval matrices, and escalation paths.
  • Partner with Deal Desk and Finance to ensure approval and discounting processes reflect current business policy while reducing friction for standard deals.
  • Apply working knowledge of CLM platforms to recommend streamlined, scalable order forms and contracting processes. Direct Ironclad administration or back-end configuration is not required.
  • Evaluate how CPQ and contracting decisions affect Deal Desk, Provisioning, Order Management, Billing, Renewals, and Amendments.
  • Apply working knowledge of subscription and consumption/credits-based billing models to recommend scalable processes and system handoffs.
UAT Execution
  • Own UAT end to end, including developing test scenarios and cases, executing tests, documenting results, identifying edge cases, and driving defects through resolution.
  • Build test coverage from scratch when pre-existing test scripts do not exist.
  • Develop and maintain a reusable UAT framework so future releases can be validated more quickly and consistently.
  • Coordinate business stakeholder participation and sign-off while retaining ownership of the testing process.
Downstream Process Partnership
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of how QTC outputs affect Deal Desk, Provisioning, Order Management, Billing, Renewals, and Amendments.
  • Identify handoff failures, manual steps, process gaps, and data-quality issues at system integration points.
  • Recommend scalable policies and business processes while accounting for the operational impact on downstream teams.
  • Serve as an escalation and subject-matter resource when downstream teams encounter QTC-related process issues.

What You Bring
Experience and approach
  • 7+ years of experience supporting complex CPQ and quote-to-cash business processes.
  • Deep CPQ knowledge, including what a CPQ platform should do, the components and processes it should support, and the questions required to evaluate and improve it.
  • Experience with at least 1 production CPQ solution. Salesforce CPQ/Steelbrick, Revenue Cloud, Conga CPQ, DealHub, Apttus, or a comparable platform are all acceptable.
  • Strong understanding of how CPQ decisions affect downstream contracting, provisioning, billing, renewals, and amendments.
  • Builder mindset with experience designing and enabling scalable business processes-not primarily running day-to-day operations.
  • Ability to create structure, identify process gaps, and drive progress in an ambiguous, rapidly evolving environment without an established playbook.
  • Nice to have: Experience scaling QTC processes during significant company growth.
  • Nice to have: Previous experience with ServiceNow or DocuSign.
Opportunity management and CPQ
  • Deep experience across the front of the order-to-cash lifecycle, from qualified Opportunity and discovery through quoting and closed-won. This experience is required.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce Opportunity processes, including fields, layouts, validations, workflow automation, data integrity, reporting, and downstream dependencies.
  • Deep CPQ knowledge, including what a CPQ platform should do, the components and processes it should support, and the questions required to evaluate and improve it.
  • Experience with at least 1 production CPQ solution, such as Salesforce CPQ/Revenue Cloud, Steelbrick, Conga CPQ, DealHub, Apttus, or a comparable platform.
  • Strong understanding of pricing, discounting, deal exceptions, approval matrices, escalation paths, and related business policies.
  • Nice to have: Experience with an AI-native or natural-language CPQ platform.
  • Nice to have: Salesforce Administrator, Advanced Administrator, CPQ Specialist, or Revenue Cloud certification.
Contracting and downstream processes
  • Working knowledge of Deal Desk, Provisioning, Order Management, Billing, Renewals, and Amendments, including how upstream CPQ and contracting decisions affect downstream teams.
  • CLM familiarity is required. Candidates must understand CLM processes and be able to recommend streamlined, scalable order forms and contracting workflows. Direct CLM administration or back-end configuration is not required.
  • Working knowledge of consumption- or credits-based billing models in addition to traditional subscription billing.
  • Nice to have: Direct Deal Desk, Partner Programs, amendments, or renewals experience.
  • Nice to have: Experience with Ironclad or a comparable CLM platform, such as DocuSign CLM, Conga, or Icertis.
  • Nice to have: Experience with Zuora or a comparable billing platform, such as Chargebee, Stripe Billing, Recurly, Aria, Salesforce Billing, or NetSuite SuiteBilling.
  • Nice to have: Direct experience with consumption, usage, envelope, or credits-based billing models.
Business analysis and UAT
  • Experience evaluating end-to-end business processes and recommending streamlined, scalable, and automated workflows.
  • Ability to gather ambiguous requirements from nontechnical stakeholders and translate them into clear user stories, pain points, functional requirements, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.
  • Ability to translate between field/business stakeholders and Enterprise Technology teams without prescribing technical architecture, integration methods, or code.
  • Proven experience independently owning UAT, including developing test coverage, identifying business scenarios and edge cases, executing tests, documenting results, and driving defects through resolution.
  • Nice to have: Experience working with Agile delivery methodologies and sprint-based technical teams.
Communication and work arrangement
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively in both business stakeholder meetings and technical design reviews.
  • High attention to detail and a low tolerance for process and data-quality issues.
  • Ability to work onsite in San Francisco 3 days per week.

Compensation depends on experience but is typically $90-125/hr depending on whether you prefer W2 or C2C. (Sole proprietor corps are welcome to apply.)
