Business Planning Project Manager (BP PM)

Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Business Planning Project Manager (BP PM) for a contract position in Redmond, WA. The opportunity will be for two months with a strong chance for a long-term extension.


Position Summary: A typical day in this role involves working with a team dedicated to creating business models for pricing and packaging of cloud and technology solutions. This team supports the larger organization by focusing on data analysis, pricing analysis, and developing tools to track product and service usage. You'll provide general project management support and work closely with a business planner and the rest of the team. This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive, close-knit team. You'll be integrated into the team, working closely with others to make a significant impact. The team focuses on creating durable profit growth through high-impact monetization strategies, packaging, and pricing. We are responsible for the end-to-end monetization process from business strategy development through execution. In this role, you will work closely with planners and operations teams to support launches and engage with cross-functional stakeholders in a matrixed environment.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Support ongoing pricing discussions using existing frameworks. Validate data, verify pricing, and drive alignment across teams by leveraging deep product knowledge.
  • Assist with launch operational processes and stakeholder support, especially when vendor support is unavailable or over capacity.
  • Facilitate meeting coordination for cross-functional stakeholder meetings, attend launch-related meetings, and relay important updates.
  • Contribute to team enhancements, improvements, and special projects. Support new team members by connecting them to critical resources and stakeholders.
  • Update the Project & Review Tracker by creating and updating projects, flagging topics for review, and coordinating regular standing reviews with leadership.


Qualifications:

  • 4-8 years of experience in project management.
  • PMI Certification is required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong collaboration skills across teams and organizations.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working with external vendors.


Preferred:

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Background in software industry products/services/applications.
  • Ability to foresee and analyze project risks, develop risk management plans, and mitigate issues.
  • High analytical skills with the ability to understand complex concepts and situations.
