Business Operations Manager
Major League Hacking
Any City, NY
We’re looking for a Business Operations Manager to be the connective tissue across finance, operations, and executive support. You’ll own core company operations (reporting, onboarding, budgeting), act as a triage layer for the CEO, and help keep the organization running smoothly as we grow.
This is a hands-on, highly leveraged role for someone who’s excited to solve messy problems, wrangle details, and build lightweight processes that actually get used.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Tax, Finance & Reporting
Coordinate and prepare business reporting for investors and stakeholders (monthly/quarterly updates, board materials, KPI snapshots).
Work with our accountants/fractional CFO to manage:
State and federal compliance and filings
Basic financial hygiene (invoices, reimbursements routing, documentation collection)
Support high-level budget management:
Help track spend vs. budget across teams
Maintain simple, usable budget dashboards for leadership
People Ops & Onboarding
Own end-to-end onboarding logistics for new hires and contractors:
Checklists, calendars, access, equipment coordination
Partner with hiring managers to ensure consistent, repeatable onboarding experiences
Maintain hiring/onboarding documentation and lightweight processes as we scale.
Executive Support
Act as a first line of triage for the CEO’s inbound requests:
Intake and prioritize external requests (meetings, partnerships, intros)
Decide what to decline, what to handle yourself, and what to escalate
Manage CEO scheduling and key recurring cadences (staff meetings, 1:1s, investor check-ins).
Drive follow-through on company-level projects and decisions:
Track action items and owners
Nudge stakeholders and keep timelines moving
General Business Operations
Help manage company-level projects (e.g., B Corp process, new tools/systems rollouts).
Improve and document core workflows (onboarding, renewals tracking, budget approvals, etc.).
Be the “owner” of internal operational hygiene: making sure things are written down, findable, and up to date.
Benefits
Competitive salary (range is posted above)
Stock options
Medical, dental, vision benefits and 401K
Unlimited PTO
Weekly team lunches
Travel opportunities
