JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Business Office Manager, is responsible for covering any aspect of the business office necessary. Many duties includeanswering the phone, front desk reception, data entry, processing of account payable, and chartscanning, Insurance Verification.

Candidate will possess outstanding multi-tasking abilities, communication and teamwork as well as the ability to keep up in a fast paced working environment. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate previous successful/positive customer service encounters or programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Schedules patient procedures to ensure efficient and accurate processing of information.
• Coordinates with anesthesia providers to confirm scheduling for coverage.
• Verifies information being entered into EMR system is correct.
• Ensuring all necessary paper work for any patient “add on'' is received by the appropriate staff.
• Communicates changes to schedule to appropriate staff.
• Ensures all required fields in Advantx are completed.
• Works closely with staff to avoid equipment or supply conflicts.
• Cross trains with other areas and other duties as assigned.
• Promote positive relationships with scheduling coordinators, physicians and clinical staff members throughout the scheduling process.
• Verifies insurance benefits and discusses insurance information with the patient.
• Sets priorities, organizes work, time management and attentive to detail.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATION and EDUCATIONAL AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum1-2 years of hospital or medical office experience preferred.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional way.
- Ability to use time wisely in preparing work area to meet high-paced demand.
- Show a genuine desire to work and improve thefacility as a whole.
- Extreme multi- tasker
- Must demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and exceptional customer service skills.
