Atlanta’s fast-paced labor market requires a Business Office Manager who is organized, proactive, and confident managing both financial operations and people processes.

About the Role

As the Business Office Manager, you will oversee the community’s financial systems, HR compliance, payroll, and administrative operations. You’ll partner closely with the Executive Director and department leaders to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and smooth HR processes. You will also support Talent Acquisition activities and may serve as Interim Executive Director when needed.

What You’ll Do

Accounting & Financial Operations

  • Manage monthly billing, collections, and cash controls
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accuracy
  • Verify and submit bi-weekly payroll; track PTO and ensure compliance
  • Maintain resident, vendor, employee, and financial files
  • Ensure accurate move-in/move-out billing and contract completion
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on key operating systems

Human Resources Oversight

  • Ensure compliance with Georgia and federal wage & hour laws
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding, state-required reports, and orientation
  • Maintain HRIS personnel data and licensing/training records
  • Partner with People & Culture on employee relations and policy compliance
  • Support leaders in coaching, documentation, and policy education

Talent Acquisition Support

  • Maintain accurate job postings across platforms
  • Track posting performance and collaborate on improvements
  • Coordinate interviews and hiring workflows with managers
  • Prepare job offers and support onboarding scheduling
  • Provide regular updates on recruiting progress and open roles

What You Bring

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Accounting or Associate degree with 2–3 years of experience or3–5 years of related experience
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, accounting systems, and HRIS
  • Ability to interpret financial reports, regulations, and policies
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Required

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to meet PSL Background Check and Safe Driving Policy requirements
