GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Join the Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) in a vital support role that contributes to the success of the agencys mission. This position provides records support, data management, and data analysis for all three sections of DCI, helping ensure critical information is accurate, accessible, and actionable. You will also play an important role in supporting grant administration, contract coordination, purchasing and payment processes, inventory management, building access, and supply management across the Division. Through a variety of administrative and office support functions, you will help maintain efficient operations and support the important work of protecting and serving the people of Wyoming.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed at the job level.
- Manage customer service duties at the front desk and be able to train and coach other employees who fill in.
- Schedule and coordinate support staff meetings as well as meeting rooms throughout the building.
- Develop, implement, and refine policies and procedures for the staff in order to keep the office running in an efficient manner.
- Manage all employee IDs and access badges.
- Maintain a system for tracking those with/without facility access in compliance with FBI CJIS Security Policy, to include tracking of background checks and managing a system for auditing the access list.
- Document and track all training/travel requests while staying within a budget. Process travel vouchers.
- Act as the point of contact for all license plates for Division vehicles, phones/cell phones, and employee P-cards. This includes proper tracking.
- Manage all lease and maintenance agreements for the Division's copiers, printers, and postage meters.
- Ability to conduct audits on various essential functions.
- Act as a liaison between the Operations and Laboratory sections to ensure destruction orders are completed and destruction of evidence is completed and properly documented.
- Responsible for tracking seizures internally and meeting the federal requirements, including assets seized, forfeited, and sold.
- Assist the CJIS and Operations sections in managing the Missing Persons Database and the Cold Case Database.
- Complete redactions on public records requests for the entire Division.
- Ability to interact with the public in a positive manner.
- Responsible for office inventory, ordering of supplies, and maintenance of equipment.
- Responsible for ensuring all new hires have required equipment, access to equipment, and access to resources necessary to fulfill job obligations.
- All other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or agency administration.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of agency organization and goals.
- Knowledge of management, supervisory, and organizational techniques.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local statutes, laws, and ordinances.
- Knowledge of fundamental principles, concepts, practices of accounting, Federal regulations, and State personnel rules and policies affecting payroll procedures.
- Some knowledge of the criminal justice system.
- Strong proficiency in various Google and Microsoft products for organizational and tracking purposes.
- Strong ability to work independently.
- Have an understanding and ability to work within state purchasing and procurement standards.
- Have an understanding of federal grant processes and procedures, including audits and reporting.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelors Degree (typically, but not necessarily, in Business)
Experience:
0-3 years of progressive work experience (typically, but not necessarily, in Business) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Business Office Coordinator I
OR
Education & Experience Substitution:
4-6 years of progressive work experience (typically in Business) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Business Office Coordinator I
