The University of Georgia Gwinnett Campus is a unit of the Office of the Vice President for Instruction, located in Lawrenceville at the center of one of the fastest-growing regions in the Southeast. The campus serves as an accessible center of advanced learning for non-traditional and working professionals in greater Atlanta and north-central and northeast Georgia. UGA Gwinnett provides high-quality graduate, professional, and continuing education programs while supporting workforce development and economic growth across the region. The campus offers graduate degree programs, graduate certificates, and continuing education and public service programming, responding to critical workforce needs in fields such as education, public health, public administration, and information technology.

Preferred Qualifications Position Summary
The Business Manager for the UGA Gwinnett Campus manages professional, fiscal, and administrative processes for planning, organizing, leading, and controlling the unit's fiscal and logistical activities. The position projects financial needs, oversees annual budget development, manages student activity and technology fee accounts and UGA Foundation funds, prepares monthly financial reports and annual budget analyses, and oversees P-cards for the campus. This position also manages key functions in HR, including payroll processing, leave tracking, and resolution of payroll issues. The Business Manager ensures the integrity and accuracy of all financial processes across the campus, maintains up-to-date policies and procedures, and responds to all audit requests. This person assists the Director of the Gwinnett Campus in obtaining, interpreting, and reporting data about campus enrollments, space usage, student recruitment and retention, and resource allocation. This is a professional position and requires a high level of knowledge, independent and sound decision-making, excellent communication skills, and a high degree of confidentiality. Supervision of support staff may be required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
Thorough knowledge of management and supervision practices and techniques. Knowledge of accounting and budgetary theory, principles, and practices. Knowledge of UGA policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to departmental budgets and accounting practices. Skill in applying accounting and financial management principles. Ability to communicate effectively.
