Description
Iowa Western Community College is seeking two full-time Business, Management & Marketing Instructors to join our team during an exciting period of curriculum redesign. We are especially interested in candidates with a background in marketing who are eager to help modernize and grow our offerings in areas such as digital marketing, consumer behavior, and applied business strategy.
The ideal candidate holds an MBA (or a closely related field) and has the ability to teach a range of courses with a strong emphasis on marketing, management, and applied business practices. Experience or interest in areas such as digital marketing, social media strategy, consumer behavior, or entrepreneurship is highly valued.
Faculty will play a vital role in an ongoing curriculum redesign, helping to shape innovative, career-focused programs that better serve both traditional and dual-enrolled students. This work focuses on ensuring programs are relevant, engaging, and aligned with workforce needs. Courses are delivered in multiple modalities, including face-to-face and online asynchronous formats using Canvas.
Successful candidates demonstrate a strong commitment to student success, use engaging and student-centered teaching practices, and are excited to contribute to program innovation and growth, particularly through the development of relevant, workforce-aligned marketing and business curriculum.
Full-time faculty teach a 5-5 load, with opportunities after the first year for summer, Winterim, and overload assignments (up to 21 credit hours during the fall/spring semesters) for additional compensation. Faculty are off contract during the summer and for approximately 2-3 weeks in the winter. The college uses shared course materials and common assessments to support consistency while still allowing room for instructional creativity.
All new hires participate in Reiver Week during the first week of August to prepare for their first year.
