JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
In this role, you will analyze data to provide actionable insights that help drive key business decisions. You will work closely with business units to understand their data needs and deliver reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business processes, data analysis techniques, and BI tools to support data-driven decision-making within the organization.

Strong Analytical Skills: An analyst excels in breaking down complex data, identifying patterns, and making informed decisions based on insights. Problem-Solving Ability: A BI Analyst should be able to identify and understand business problems, then use data to find solutions or actionable insights. Communication Skills: One of the key traits of a BI Analyst is the ability to communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear, understandable manner. Business Acumen: BI Analysts need to align their analysis with the organization's strategic goals. Understanding business objectives helps them focus on providing the most relevant insights. Attention to Detail: Accuracy is essential, and an analyst has a keen eye for detail, ensuring that no crucial information is overlooked. Experience with Tools and Techniques: Proficiency with BI tools such as Power BI or SSRS is essential. Understanding how to use these tools to create dashboards and reports is a key skill. A solid command of SQL is necessary for querying databases and pulling relevant data for analysis Time Management and Prioritization: BI Analysts often work on multiple projects at once. Effective time management and the ability to prioritize tasks based on business needs and deadlines is crucial. Collaboration and Teamwork: A BI Analyst frequently works with other departments, such as IT, marketing, sales, and finance. They should be able to collaborate effectively across teams to ensure that the data needs of various departments are met. Curiosity and Continuous Learning: BI Analysts should have a natural curiosity about data and be willing to dive deep into datasets to uncover hidden insights. Visualization and Reporting Skills: A BI Analyst should excel at using visual tools to present data in a way that is easy to interpret. Good data visualization makes it easier for decision-makers to quickly grasp key insights. They need to tailor reports and dashboards to meet the specific needs of different stakeholders, ensuring that the information provided is relevant and actionable.

Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
Must be able to sit for long periods of time, Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs., Must be able to driveThis is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
