We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Commercial Insurance Agent to join our growing team. This role is dedicated exclusively to business lines insurance you will work with business owners, executives, and risk managers to assess their exposures and design comprehensive commercial insurance programs. You will not handle personal lines; your focus is entirely on building and managing a commercial book of business.
Salary Range: $60000.00 - $75000.00 per year

Responsibilities
Prospect and develop new commercial accounts through networking, referrals, cold outreach, and community involvement, while maintaining a healthy pipeline of qualified business prospects.
Conduct thorough risk assessments of client operations, including on-site visits when appropriate, to identify exposures and recommend suitable coverage solutions.
Gather underwriting data, submit applications to carriers, analyze competing quotes, and present tailored proposals that align with each client's risk tolerance and budget.
Manage an assigned book of commercial accounts through renewals, coverage reviews, policy endorsements, and day-to-day service needs.
Advocate for clients during the claims process by coordinating with carriers and adjusters to help facilitate timely and fair outcomes.
Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial lines underwriters to negotiate competitive terms and expand market access for clients.
Ensure all transactions and client communications comply with state insurance regulations, agency procedures, and errors and omissions standards.
Active Property and Casualty license in Missouri
Minimum 1 year of commercial lines insurance experience
Solid working knowledge of commercial underwriting guidelines and carrier appetites
Demonstrated track record of building and growing a commercial book of business
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
