Job Title: Business Engagement Coordinator

Job Location: Village Hall, 1050 W Romeo Road, Romeoville, IL 60446

Salary: $80,699.86

Salary Range: $80,699.86 - $108,944.86

Hours: Monday - Friday from 8 am - 4 pm with some evenings and weekends required.

Benefits:

Job Duties:

The purpose of this position is to strengthen the Village's support for local businesses and contribute to engagement and retention. The position serves as a primary resource for local businesses and will focus on retaining and growing businesses to foster a vibrant local economy, involving strategies such as business retention programs, marketing, and working with the Romeoville Business Alliance.

  • Act as the primary liaison between the municipality and local businesses.
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration and partnerships that benefit both the community and local businesses.
  • Organize networking events, roundtables, and forums to encourage dialogue and collaboration.
  • Create and manage programs that support business growth and retention.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners and economic development partners, maintaining the Village's business directory.
  • Provide resources and guidance to businesses on navigating local regulations, grants, and development opportunities through other local, county, state, or federal programs.
  • Define and lead business retention within the Village.
  • Represent the Village as staff liaison to the Romeoville Business Alliance.
  • Schedule regular visits to businesses to understand challenges, document issues, and follow up promptly.
  • Provide updates on engagement activities, performance metrics, and impact.

Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions:

A bachelor's degree in business, economics, marketing, public administration, or a related field of study, along with four to six years of relevant experience.
