Overview

A leading international law firm is seeking a Business Development Specialist. The firm represents leading global companies in complex regulatory, litigation, and transactional matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of marketing and business development initiatives for the Life Sciences industry group and related practices.

  • Develop knowledge of the life sciences and healthcare sectors, including client priorities, market trends, and competitive landscape.

  • Assist in implementing business development plans and tracking progress against strategic goals.

  • Coordinate and support RFPs, pitches, and proposals from planning through submission, including cross-practice and preferred provider proposals.

  • Evaluate and manage conference and sponsorship opportunities, including logistics and attorney participation.

  • Organize firm-hosted events in collaboration with the Events team.

  • Utilize CRM and experience databases to identify client targets and highlight relevant firm experience.

  • Coordinate submissions to legal and industry directories, such as Chambers and The Legal 500.

  • Collaborate on integrated branding and profile-raising campaigns, including digital and social media initiatives.

  • Prepare and maintain marketing collateral, including brochures, pitch materials, attorney biographies, experience lists, and website content.

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members as appropriate.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Minimum of three years of experience in marketing, business development, or client relations, preferably within a professional services or law firm environment.

  • Familiarity with the Life Sciences industry preferred.

  • Strong writing, organizational, and project management skills.

  • Experience supporting proposals and pitch processes; ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with CRM and marketing systems such as Foundation, InterAction, or Intapp DealCloud is a plus.

  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with professionals at all levels.

  • Comfortable managing competing priorities under pressure.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $82,000 - $110,000.
