Position Summary:
The Business Development Specialist(BDS) is responsible for driving new revenue and strategic growth for AI-enabled workflow automation solutions. This role combines consultative sales expertise with solution orchestration, guiding clients from initial discoveries through successful implementation. The BDScollaborates with solution architects, project managers, and marketing to deliver a portfolio that includes intelligent document processing (IDP), enterprise content management (ECM), workflow/BPM, forms automation, and advanced AI capabilities such as large language models (LLMs), Generative AI, and natural language processing (NLP),
Primary solution portfolio (examples): Square 9 (GlobalSearch, GlobalAction, GlobalCapture, GlobalForms), Laserfiche (Cloud & On-Prem), ABBYY (FlexiCapture, Vantage), and FineReader Server/Desktop, plus consulting and integration services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To achieve 100%+ of monthly sales plan through profitable sales of assigned workflow products as well as professional services. Develop account relationships to ensure consistent growth for the individual, and the company.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets through profitable sales of workflow automation products and professional services.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, positioning Loffler as a trusted advisor and business partner.
- Identify high-value automation opportunities, develop business cases, and lead customers from discovery to production outcomes.
- Collaborate across teams and leverage internal and external networks to expand business knowledge and effectiveness.
- Utilize CRM and client financial tools to identify and pursue business opportunities.
- Demonstrate solution fluency by credibly positioning and differentiating offerings from Square 9, Laserfiche, ABBYY, and similar products; discuss cloud vs. on-premises, integration approaches, and implementation pathways.
- Apply consultative selling skills, including discovery, ROI modeling, and executive storytelling, to move stakeholders from pilot to scaled deployment.
- Support compliance and assurance requests (e.g., SOC 2 Type 2, HIPAA) and records retention topics during enterprise evaluations.
- Maintain professionalism in documenting account engagements and client business reviews.
- Adhere to business hours (8:00am5:00pm), with active selling between 9:00am4:00pm.
- Enter and update qualified prospect information in CRM tools.
- Demonstrate proposed solutions effectively, tailored to specific customer needs.
- Contribute positively to the sales team and uphold the company mission statement.
- Follow departmental procedures and work with minimal supervision.
- Plan and schedule work activities to maximize effectiveness and prioritize assignments.
- Foster a collaborative and friendly work environment.
- Maintain proficient PC/laptop skills.
- Candidates must posses a valid driver's license, maintain an acceptable driving record, and provide proof of minimum auto insurance coverage as required by state law.

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university preferred, however not required if demonstrated ability.
- 2-3+ years in B2B technology sales covering workflow automation/ECM, IDP/OCR, forms automation, and AI-enabled data capture; familiarity with LLM-based solutions and responsible AI considerations.
- Solution fluency: Ability to credibly position and differentiate offerings from Square 9, Laserfiche, and ABBYY or similar products; comfortable discussing cloud vs. on-prem, integration approaches, and implementation pathways.
- Consultative selling: Skilled in discovery, ROI modeling, and executive storytelling; adept at moving stakeholders from pilot to scaled deployment.
- Compliance awareness: Experience supporting security/assurance requests (e.g., SOC 2 Type 2, HIPAA attestation) and records-retention topics during enterprise evaluation.
