Job Title: Business Development Representative
Location: Sunnyvale, CA
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
Primary Function of Position:

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and digitally savvy  Business Development Representative on a contract basis to support the growth and adoption of the Ion platform in expanding access to minimally invasive care for lung biopsy.
  • This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build a career in sales and business development within the healthcare sector.
  • You will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, engaging healthcare providers, coordinating/facilitating clinical as well as market research studies, and supporting our digital and CRM initiatives.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Coordinate research and study activities for multiple departments and team members.
  • Conduct cold outreach via email, phone, and LinkedIn to engage existing customers with networking and connectivity for our systems.
  • Collaborates effectively within the immediate cross-functional team (technical support, engineering, design, clinical).
  • Communicates proactively about progress, blockers, and needs.
  • Builds trust through reliability.
  • Collaboration with local sales teams to ensure consistent alignment and communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the hospital IT department and physician champions
  • Monitor and report on digital project performance and suggest improvements
  • Recruiting, coordinating, and facilitating clinical and market research studies
  • On-site execution support of clinical and market research studies in the field or in the client's Sunnyvale and Atlanta facilities.
  • Ensuring appropriate legal and payment compliance through business systems
  • Responsibly manage administrative tasks, SFDC management, submission of expense reports, etc.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required; minimum of 2 years work experience
  • Preferred location at Sunnyvale headquarters; on site when requested
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complexity and work in an environment of change
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in data management and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to excel in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability and flexibility to travel to required in-field sites up to 60%
  • Ability to cross-functionally interact with health care professionals and hospital facilities.  Familiarity with hospital operations desirable.
  • Ability to travel on a moment's notice and support studies across varying United States geographies: comfortable booking and utilizing all forms of travel.
  • Knowledge of the Pulmonology/Bronchoscopy space environment is a plus.
  • 60% travel - Domestic.
