Business Development Representative

Location: Nashville, TN Employment Type: Full-Time, Salary Reports To: Market President

Overview: Peregrine Health is seeking a Business Development Representative to be the first point of contact for potential partners, responsible for generating and qualifying leads that fuel our new logo pipeline. Your primary focus will be identifying target accounts, initiating outreach through calls and emails, and conducting initial qualification conversations. Success in this position means consistently meeting daily activity metrics and monthly qualified opportunity targets while maintaining high-quality conversations that set up our Growth team for success. Youll need to be comfortable with high-volume outreach, resilient in the face of rejection, and skilled at quickly building rapport with new prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify potential clients within target markets and industry segments
  • Conduct high-volume outreach through cold calls, emails, and social media to generate interest
  • Qualify inbound leads from marketing campaigns and website inquiries based on established criteria
  • Schedule discovery meetings and product demonstrations for Account Executives with qualified prospects
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospect interactions and lead status in the CRM
  • Collaborate with marketing to provide feedback on campaign effectiveness and messaging resonance
  • Meet or exceed daily activity goals for calls, emails, and meetings scheduled
  • Develop a deep understanding of our products and services, value propositions, and competitive positioning
  • Stay current on industry trends and prospect business challenges to improve conversation relevance

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 0-2 years of experience in sales, customer service, or related client-facing roles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong phone presence
  • Highly self-motivated with a competitive drive to meet and exceed targets
  • Ability to handle rejection and maintain persistence and positivity
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Coachable mindset with eagerness to learn and improve
