This role is designed to enable, support, and amplify regional sales teams by providing deep product expertise, application knowledge, and customer-facing leadership.The BDM role functions as a regional subject matter expert and growth catalyst, working with local sales teams to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and close complex, high-value projects. The BDM will help unlock demand within DXP's existing customer base while also supporting strategic new customer acquisition.Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager – Vacuum & Blower Technologies – Texas USA include, but are not limited to:Commercial Growth & Market DevelopmentWork closely with Regional Vice Presidents and senior leadership teams to drive growth of Vacuum Pump and Blower products across assigned regions through joint sales calls, opportunity development, and strategic account supportIdentify and develop new revenue opportunities within DXP's existing rotating equipment customer baseBuild and manage a robust regional pipeline of vacuum and blower opportunities, with a focus on high-value, high-margin applicationsSupport sales professionals in closing complex projects, multi-site opportunities, and multi-year strategic growth plansSales Enablement & Field SupportWork directly with regional sales representatives, inside sales, and leadership to educate, support, and elevate vacuum and blower selling capabilitiesConduct joint customer visits, plant walks, Lunch & Learns, customer events, and application reviews to uncover unmet needs and drive solution-based sellingServe as the primary escalation point for technical, application, and commercial questions related to vacuum and blower technologies for applications, troubleshooting, and service supportParticipate in and lead sessions in regional sales meetings and planning sessions as a subject matter expertTechnical & Application LeadershipProvide deep technical expertise across vacuum pump and blower technologies, including system selection, application suitability, and performance considerationsCollaborate with engineering, suppliers, and service teams to develop optimized solutions tailored to customer requirementsSupport specification development, system design, and project justification as neededStrategic Collaboration & AlignmentAct as a centralized resource while operating seamlessly within regional sales structuresCollaborate closely with Regional VPs and sales leadership to align priorities, support key initiatives, and avoid channel conflictServe as a conduit between corporate strategy, suppliers, and the field to ensure consistent executionReporting & Performance ManagementMaintain accurate opportunity tracking, forecasting, and reportingContribute to data-driven insights around regional growth, customer adoption, and market trendsSupport continuous improvement of sales processes, tools, and training programsRequired Qualifications of the Business Development Manager – Vacuum & Blower Technologies – Texas USA include, but are not limited to:2+ years of experience in industrial sales, business development, or technical commercial roles5+ years of proven experience selling vacuum pumps, blowers, or closely related industrial equipmentDemonstrated ability to generate and close $3–$5M+ in annual revenue through complex, consultative sellingStrong technical aptitude with the ability to translate engineering concepts into customer value.Education: Bachelor's degree in sciences or businessExperience working in matrixed or decentralized sales organizationsAbility to travel regionally as requiredPreferred QualificationsExperience working with OEMs, EPCs, or large industrial end usersBackground in rotating equipment, process industries, energy, chemical, food & beverage, or manufacturing marketsExperience supporting distributor-based or hybrid sales modelsStrong existing customer and industry relationships within assigned regionsSuccess ProfileA high-impact, self-directed professionalComfortable operating without rigid territory boundariesCollaborative team player with regional sales teamsTrusted by customers and internal sales teams as a reliable technical and commercial advisor.Motivated by growth, influence, and long-term value creationThis role offers a competitive base salary with a performance-based incentive structure tied to regional growth and business development objectives.
