The ideal candidate excels at building relationships, leading cross-functional teams, and crafting winning proposals that align with client needs and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to support long-term growth and repeat business.
  • Lead the full proposal development lifecycle—from opportunity assessment and capture planning to final submission and post-award debriefs.
  • Analyze RFPs/RFQs and other solicitations to extract key requirements, evaluation criteria, and strategic positioning.
  • Develop and execute proposal strategies, including win themes, differentiators, and response outlines.
  • Facilitate proposal-related meetings such as kickoff sessions, solution development workshops, and color team reviews.
  • Coordinate contributions from technical experts, project managers, pricing teams, and executive leadership to ensure cohesive and compliant proposals.
  • Write and edit proposal content, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with client expectations and firm capabilities.
  • Maintain a library of reusable proposal content, templates, graphics, and project descriptions to streamline future efforts.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop client-facing materials and presentations.
  • Track business development and proposal activities in CRM systems; prepare pipeline reports and executive summaries.
  • Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to promote services and expand visibility.
  • Support teaming strategies, subcontractor relationships, and joint venture development for complex project pursuits.
  • Monitor industry trends, client needs, and competitive landscape to inform business development strategy.
  • Ensure proposals meet all legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements in coordination with compliance and legal teams.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in business development and proposal management within an engineering, architecture, or facility design firm.
  • Strong understanding of conceptual design, facility planning, and integrated project delivery models.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and lead cross-functional teams in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with government contracting, procurement processes, and proposal best practices.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and proposal development software.
