Senior Business Development Manager, IT Staffing

Our client is a high-performance staffing firm founded 2016 that accelerated growth in 20222023 and has delivered double-digit growth since 2021. They are hiring an Senior Business Development Manager to drive new sales and expand existing accounts across contract staffing and direct-hire placements. This is a true hunter/grower role for someone who thrives in an A-player only, high-expectations environmentcompetitive, accountable, and client-facing with equal parts grit and polish.
Youll own the full sales cycle, build a book in your market, and partner closely with recruiters to deliver talent quickly and credibly.
What Youll Do:
- Identify targets, open doors, and secure search/staffing engagements with direct hiring managers.
- Prospect - discovery - solution design - terms/fee alignment - close - launch - grow.
- Sell both contract and direct hire matching client needs with the right delivery approach.
- Prioritize a defined geography/market and develop a repeatable pipeline.
- Partner with recruiting to drive urgency, calibrate on role requirements, and ensure high-quality delivery.
- Increase job flow, deepen relationships, and expand hiring manager footprint.
- Consistent activity, accurate CRM/ATS documentation, and strong forecasting.
What does Great look like:
- A strong mid-level AE should target ~$250K production in year one (in collaboration with recruiting).
- Year two should be $1M+ for top performers, depending on market, execution, and account growth.
- Consistent new client meetings, qualified job intake, speed-to-launch, and expansion within active accounts.
What you need:
- Proven staffing sales experience (agency) as an AE / BD / full-desk seller.
- Hunter mentality with a track record of opening new accounts and building durable client relationships.
- High urgency and resilience: you dont need perfect conditions to create results.
- Strong client presence and able to be firm and consultative.
- Competitive, accountable, and energized by high expectations and measurable goals.
- Tech-forward and organized. You leverage tools (Bullhorn/CRM, sequencing, LI Recruiter) to build pipeline.
