We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Director of Business Development to lead strategic growth initiatives across key markets. This role will focus on acquiring and expanding relationships with enterprise clients, including fin-techs, financial institutions, and global platforms.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and exceed regional revenue targets through new client acquisition and account growth
  • Identify, prioritize, and close high-value opportunities across payments, fin-tech, and financial services sectors
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies aligned with company growth objectives
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with decision-makers (C-suite, Heads of Payments, Partnerships)
  • Structure complex deals and long-term partnerships
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Compliance, Operations) to deliver tailored solutions
  • Provide market intelligence and competitive insights to senior leadership
  • Contribute to global expansion strategy and pipeline planning
  • Represent at industry events and conferences
  • Manage full sales life cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation and closure
  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and reporting
  • Drive cross-selling and up-selling opportunities within existing accounts
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance business development processes.

Profile

A successful Business Development Director should have:

  • 8-12+ years of experience in business development, enterprise sales, or partnerships
  • Strong background in payments, fintech, or cross-border transactions
  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets and closing complex deals
  • Deep understanding of global payments ecosystem (remittances, wallets, banking rails, etc.)
  • Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and negotiating commercial agreements
  • Existing network within fintechs, banks, or payment providers
  • Experience selling API-based or infrastructure solutions
  • Exposure to high-growth or international scale environments
