Business Development – Your Job Duties
You will be responsible for developing the Vacaville/Fairfield customer base.
- Build a commercial landscape book of business in Vacaville/Fairfield using a proven platform already successful in other markets
- Spend your time in the field creating opportunities, building relationships, and growing a territory
- Measure properties and develop proposals for landscape maintenance and enhancement services
- Grow your commissions by selling additional services including irrigation, tree work, seasonal color, and property improvements
- Own the customer relationship after the sale including walkthroughs, quality control, and ongoing account growth
- Track pipeline, activity, and follow up through the CRM to build momentum
- Represent the company at networking events and within the local commercial property community
- Serve as the face of the branch with commercial property managers, HOAs, retail centers, and industrial properties throughout the market
Business Development – You Have (Skills, Experience & Team Fit)
You have:
- Prior experience in outside sales, account management, territory growth, or business development selling to commercial customers
- A hunter mindset and excitement around building a territory from the ground floor
- Strong relationship-building skills with commercial customers and decision makers
- The discipline to manage your own schedule, pipeline, follow up, and territory activity
- An outgoing personality and comfort spending your day in the field meeting people
- Experience using CRM systems to track activity and opportunities
You might have:
- Prior experience in commercial landscaping, irrigation, tree care, commercial HVAC, janitorial, facilities services, construction services, or another B2B service industry
- Existing relationships with commercial property managers or commercial real estate contacts in Solano County
- Experience building a new territory, branch, or market
Business Development – Benefits for You
You will be provided a company vehicle.
Your compensation will be a base salary of $80,000 to $95,000 depending on your experience level, plus commission based on total sales. Total OTE anticipated to be $110,000 to up $130,000 based on your sales and growing the book of business.
The more you grow the territory, the more you grow your income.
You will work from your home office and throughout the Vacaville and Fairfield market with support and resources from the Sacramento leadership team while the branch continues to expand.
