Position Summary
The Business Banking Loan Relationship Manager is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the Business Banking Loan Relationship Specialist, as well as providing general support for the Business Bankers and the loan and deposit customers they serve, and for building strong rapport and relationships with these clients. This person is responsible for providing superior internal and external customer service. Must demonstrate self-governance, courtesy, and respect toward external customers as well as internal coworkers. Superior customer service includes highly accurate, efficient, courteous, and friendly interaction and transaction processing. Adequate commercial loan product knowledge and ability to problem solve on an ongoing basis is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Cater to unique, very specific needs of Grand Junction's customers, going above and beyond to provide them with exceptional customer service at all times and exceed our customers’ high expectations.
- Efficiently process customers’ requests in a timely and accurate manner with a high level of professionalism.
- Work under the direction of the Grand Junction Business Bankers to complete a variety of tasks as assigned including:
- Review business organizational and financial documents such as trust agreements and/or complex loan documents.
- Work cooperatively with the TWAY Team to ensure effectiveness and efficiency throughout the loan process.
- Review loan documentation for accuracy and manage technical exceptions.
- Understand and anticipate the needs of Grand Junction customers to offer solutions and develop relationships.
- Determining the workflow, move loans through the pipeline, sometimes with limited supervision depending upon the loan type. Assist with maintaining/managing loan pipeline.
- Provide support for interactions between Grand Junction customers, the Business Bankers, and TWAY Team to build relationships.
- Follow up with Grand Junction loan customers to obtain insurance and other documentation and ensure all documentation is up to date.
- Gather appropriate documentation and prepare and/or assist with loan approval presentations.
- Follow established audit, security, and compliance guidelines.
- Attends and participates in meetings and trainings as required.
- Represents Timberline Bank in a professional manner which includes a professional image, confidentiality, a positive “can-do” attitude, good attendance, punctuality, flexibility and adaptability in meeting bank and customer needs.
- Work independently and in a team environment to maximize productivity in a most efficient manner.
- Engage professionally in person, via email, and on the phone to assist with customer needs or issues.

Required Knowledge and Expertise
- High School Diploma or higher.
- 5+ years of banking experience preferred, especially in regard to commercial loans.
- Proven conflict resolution skills.
- Superior, above and beyond customer service skills.
- Superior people, communication, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Customer-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strict adherence to confidentiality requirements.
- General working knowledge of compliance laws/regulations regarding loan and/or deposit products.
- Understanding of loan terms and file workflow.
- Experience with Abrigo preferred.
- 1-2 years of lending experience preferred.

Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Incentives based on Timberline Team goals may also be offered.
