Business Analyst (Functional)

12-Month Contract with Potential for Conversion

Pay Rate: $40/hour

Location: Omaha, NE (Fully Onsite)

Position Overview We are seeking a Functional Business Analyst to support a large-scale onboarding program within a print and mail solutions environment. This initiative involves onboarding a significant volume of business from a major client and supporting a multi-workstream program with substantial operational and technology-related enhancements. The Business Analyst will work closely with stakeholders, operations teams, and technology teams to gather requirements, document processes, support testing efforts, and ensure successful project delivery.

Project Overview

• Support a large onboarding initiative within an output solutions organization.
• Program consists of approximately nine workstreams spanning both IT and operational functions.
• Work includes scaling print platform capabilities, supporting software and hardware initiatives, and coordinating operational process improvements.
• 12-18 month program currently underway.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
• Work with stakeholders to understand business processes and identify solutions.
• Create and maintain business requirements, process flows, and project documentation.
• Support functional testing activities to validate that system changes produce expected results.
• Document testing outcomes, defects, and resolutions.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly.
• Track issues and testing results, escalating concerns when necessary.
• Participate in meetings, status updates, and project planning activities.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst.
• Strong functional business analysis experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience performing functional testing and validating business requirements.
• Ability to identify, document, and track issues through resolution.
• Experience working with cross-functional business and technology teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Jira for defect tracking and project management.
• Experience supporting large-scale implementation, enhancement, migration, or onboarding projects.
