Job Summary
The Business Analyst / Management Development Associate will report to the Business Unit Director - Partitions & Cubicles. This is a leadership development role designed for high-potential talent seeking to drive business impact and grow into future general management roles.
The position supports strategic initiatives across the Toilet Partitions Business Unit (TPBU), combining business analysis, product development, analytics, and AI-enabled software solutions to improve decision-making and business performance. The ideal candidate combines strong business judgment with the technical ability to build dashboards, analytical models, automations, and lightweight software solutions.
This is a high-visibility role that offers broad exposure to senior leadership and a unique opportunity to build skills in marketing strategy, analytics, operations, and product development. Success in this position will require intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for solving complex business problems in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Responsibilities
Data, Analytics & AI
Build analytical tools, dashboards, automations, and lightweight internal applications that improve business decision-making and execution.
Use AI coding assistants together with Python, SQL, or similar technologies to prototype solutions and automate business processes.
Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards, data models, and reporting tools.
Write and review SQL, Python, or similar code to analyze data and solve business problems.
Partner with IT and Engineering to understand data architecture and improve system integration.
Evaluate emerging AI technologies and identify opportunities to improve productivity across TPBU.
Strategic & Analytical Leadership
Lead key workstreams within TPBU's highest priority initiatives, including Specs-to-Saw and Quality Transformation.
Develop business cases and perform market, pricing, profitability, and forecasting analyses to support strategic decision-making.
Break down complex business problems into structured, data-driven solutions.
Innovation & Agile Execution
Lead product development and business improvement initiatives from concept through implementation.
Develop rapid proofs of concept using agile methods and emerging technologies.
Manage relationships with external vendors supporting strategic initiatives.
Communication & Stakeholder Influence
Translate analysis into compelling business recommendations and executive presentations.
Build alignment across Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering, Customer Service, and Finance.
Train colleagues on new tools, processes, and best practices.
Leadership & Team Development
Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams to deliver outsized business results.
Champion TPBU priorities and act as a connective leader across Sales, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Finance.
Balance individual project ownership with collaborative team efforts.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's degree required; relevant fields may include engineering, computer science, data science, mathematics, economics, business, or another quantitatively oriented discipline. Candidates from other academic backgrounds will be considered based on demonstrated analytical and technical capability.
MBA or other relevant graduate degrees preferred but not required.
1-3 years of experience solving complex business problems through data, technology, and structured analysis.
Demonstrated experience building dashboards, automations, software tools, or analytical models.
Hands-on experience with at least one programming or querying language, such as Python or SQL.
Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or a similar business intelligence platform strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn new technologies and use AI coding tools to improve productivity.
Skills & Capabilities
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including comfort working with data to uncover insights and make recommendations.
Skilled in structured thinking and problem decomposition; able to apply logic frameworks to complex business challenges.
Clear, persuasive communicator - skilled at crafting presentations and influencing decisions at all levels of the organization.
Comfortable working in ambiguous environments; able to break down complex problems and drive toward structured solutions.
High degree of ownership, adaptability, and bias for action.
Effective in both independent and collaborative work settings.
Technical & Analytical Tools
Advanced Excel and data analysis skills required.
Working proficiency in Python, SQL, or another relevant programming language required.
Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or a similar visualization platform strongly preferred.
Comfortable using AI coding assistants to support analysis, automation, and rapid prototyping.
Familiarity with relational databases, APIs, and data modeling.
