Job Title: Business / Data Analyst – Underwriting Data Warehouse Project
Location: Reston, VA (Hybrid – 3–4 days onsite per week, including Mondays and Fridays)
Duration: 12-month contract
Pay Rate: $62 per hour (W2 only – no C2C)

This role supports a strategic initiative to migrate underwriting data from front-end systems into a centralized data warehouse to enable comprehensive business reporting. The candidate will play a critical role in extracting and analyzing data, creating reports, and bridging the gap between technical data and business needs.
Collaborate with business users to understand data requirements and reporting needs
Develop and execute complex SQL queries to extract data from AWS-based systems
Analyze data to support business decisions and validate results
Create and maintain ad hoc reports in Excel
Respond to data-related inquiries and support requests from stakeholders
Advanced SQL expertise with complex joins and dimensional modeling
Hands-on experience working with AWS data platforms
Strong business acumen with the ability to tie data outputs to business operations
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams
Experience working with financial or mortgage data
Proficiency with Tableau for dashboard creation and data visualization
The analyst will work under the guidance of lead analysts and data engineers while collaborating with the product owner, product manager, and the enterprise data governance team.
This is a hybrid position based in Reston, VA. Candidates must be available to work onsite 3–4 days per week, including Mondays and Fridays.
The ideal candidate has deep SQL expertise, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to independently connect data insights to business operations. Prior contractors who lacked data depth and business integration skills were not successful in this role—therefore, a proactive, experienced, and solution-oriented analyst is preferred.
