Ability to effectively communicate with team members, technical team, key stakeholders, and vendorsPREFFERED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Experience with federal or state health data systems (e.g., Medicaid, HRSA, HHS, Census) strongly preferredProficient in data analysis tools and techniques, such as SAS, Excel, data visualization tools, and statistical analysis softwareSCOPE OF THE PROJECT: The Client is seeking a Business Analyst-Intermediate who is responsible for gathering program requirements to generate monitoring and tracking templates, developing policies and procedures, creating and maintaining recurring reports, and performing data analysis and visualization to inform decision making and investigations related to Managed Care oversight. This position translates, summarizes, and communicates data findings to Bureau and Agency leadership and works collaboratively with other Managed Care staff and internal stakeholders (e.g., IT and systems) as appropriate. The work also includes learning and remaining familiar with the Contract, Report Companion Guide, provider manuals, and policies to ensure appropriate data exploration. OBJECTIVES TO BE FULFILLED BY CANDIDATE:Conducts data analysis on program-specified projects using standard data exploration techniques including trend analysis and outlier identificationEnsures data quality through verification of outlying data points. Communicates logic model, data analysis steps, and results from data analysis to program staff and Bureau leadership to ensure understandingConducts data analysis on grievance and appeals data (for both members and providers), service authorization data, and disputes data sets using standard data exploration techniques including trend analysis and outlier identificationEnsures data quality through verification of outlying data points. Communicates logic model, data analysis steps, and results from data analysis to program staff and Bureau leadership to ensure understanding. Conducts analyses and produces reports for quarterly and annual data within two weeks of plan submission of data. Disseminates analyses to Bureau leadership within one month of plan submission of quarterly and annually submitted dataDevelops and maintains policies and procedures for the management, verification, and maintenance of data associated with the performance of the Managed Care and Managed Care contractConducts data analysis on contract monitoring data sets using standard data exploration techniques including trend analysis and outlier identification. Ensures data quality through verification of outlying data points.
