Assignment Length: Approximately 3-6 Months, possibly longer.

DESCRIPTION
Our client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst III to support operations within Air Operations. This role focuses on business and operational analysis, data reporting, process improvement, and cross-functional coordination. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical capabilities, experience working with enterprise systems, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights that drive operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Operational Analysis

  • Analyze business operations, workflows, and processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Develop business requirements, problem statements, and impact assessments
  • Provide data-driven insights related to cost, schedule, compliance, and performance

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Collect, validate, and analyze operational, financial, and performance data from enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, internal dashboards)
  • Develop recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and metrics for leadership
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and proper documentation for audits and reviews

Process Improvement & Controls

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives using standard methodologies
  • Document current-state and future-state processes, workflows, and SOPs
  • Identify and track operational and compliance risks through resolution

Financial & Cost Support

  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and cost analysis
  • Support business cases and cost-benefit analyses
  • Monitor spend and investigate variances against plan

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Act as a liaison across operations, finance, IT, supply chain, and other teams
  • Coordinate deliverables, timelines, and stakeholder inputs
  • Support change management activities and track adoption

Governance, Compliance & Audit

  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and data
  • Ensure alignment with company policies and internal controls
  • Track corrective actions and ensure timely closure

Project & Initiative Support

  • Track project milestones, risks, and deliverables
  • Prepare executive summaries and decision-support materials
  • Maintain project documentation and status reporting
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5–7 years of experience in business analysis or related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with enterprise systems and data analysis tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and reporting tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP or similar enterprise systems
  • Background in financial analysis, budgeting, or forecasting
  • Experience supporting audits and compliance activities
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies
