General Description Of Position
The Technology Services Business Analyst will work with key stakeholders to identify and understand their requirements through interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, task reviews and workflow analysis. This position will evaluate findings from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, translate gathered information into meaningful, understandable reports and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Collaborate with business users to understand their challenges and be able to solve those challenges by leveraging business systems and technology.
Gather requirements from multiple sources and transform into a single set of documented needs. Review and revise requirements as needed.
Work closely with software developers, project managers, and systems testers to translate business requirements into successful technical deliverables.
Identify business processes, roles within those processes, and develop workflow diagrams using Microsoft Visio.
Develop business requirements documents and collaborate with Quality Assurance to develop traceability documents, test cases and test scripts.
Produce, maintain, and interpret workflow diagrams.
Develop functional and non-functional requirements specifications according to standard templates.
Collaborate with internal and third-party developers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to establish technical or functional vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
Implement and enhance mission critical systems to support business transformation.
Collaborate with Finance and Accounting to ensure transactional information flows flawlessly into their various systems.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education And Experience
Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc.Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 6 years related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Communication Skills
Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and
maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Software Skills Required
Intermediate: Spreadsheet Basic: 10-Key, Accounting, Alphanumeric Data Entry, Presentation/PowerPoint, Word Processing/Typing
