Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a senior Metadata Ingestion Analyst, liaising between IT and program staff.
- Automate the collection and updates of agency metadata for high-value data assets.
- Translate technical findings into non-technical language for end-users.
- Extract, integrate, and analyze metadata to support HHS program needs.
- Create visualizations for enrichment progress and official reporting.
- Champion data literacy by developing and conducting training sessions.
- Collaborate with teams to troubleshoot metadata-related issues.
- Stay updated on AI and metadata analysis tools to enhance data quality and reporting.
Requirements
- 8 years of experience gathering business requirements and translating complex metadata acquisitions.
- 8 years of experience explaining technical findings in simple language.
- 8 years in a complex data analysis or senior business/systems analyst role.
- Strong experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Preferences
- 5 years of experience with Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse.
- Experience in a health and human services or similarly regulated environment.
- Experience with data governance and data quality principles.
- Experience with data glossary tools like Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog.
- Experience training and mentoring staff with varying levels of data literacy.
