The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Technology Services Division in Helena.
Each Business Analyst works closely with Division program personnel and system owners to identify user business needs that must be accommodated in the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) modular system design. This position needs to work with Division program personnel to solicit accurate and complete business and functional requirements and identify opportunities to improve and automate business processes.

Qualifications for this Career Opportunity
Knowledge of Medicaid business processes.
Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving ability.
Thorough knowledge of healthcare claims management, reimbursement methodology, and service delivery.
Ability to manage varying deadlines and multiple projects while responding positively to changes in direction, priorities, responsibilities, or assignments.
Meet minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in healthcare management, business administration, information technology, computer science, or related field is preferred.
Three or more years of job-related work experience.
Knowledge of Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) is preferred.
Other combinations of related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Additional Information
These positions may be eligible for partial telework within the state of Montana. Specific conditions will be provided by the supervisor and must adhere to state policy.
These positions may be eligible for a statutory $1.00 an hour base pay increase effective July 1, 2026.
These positions are open until filled with frequent screening of applicants.
Position 69137164 is a modified position that is grant funded through June 2027.
